This Exceptionally restored car is one of the finest Touring Sedans we have seen. The car has a known history going back to new and the current owner is only the 3rd owner of the car. The car was restored in the early 90's by the current owner. Since it was such a solid original car the body was not removed from the chassis, however all fenders, hood running boards, doors, and truck lid were removed, blasted, primed and painted with Packard Caribbean Blue Dupont Centari base coat/clear coat. The engine, clutch, and transmission were removed and sent to specialty shops for rebuild. The engine was completely torn down and replaced with new pistons, rings, bearings, valves and new valve tappet assemblies, all new seals and gaskets. The water pump was rebuilt with new bronze impeller and modern sealed bearings. The Carb, distributor, generator and starter were professionally rebuilt, the transmission was rebuilt but needed very little. The clutch was completely rebuilt. The Differential was bad and all gearing was replaced with the first set of Phil Bray High Speed Gears, rear wheel bearings were installed. New wiring was installed throughout the car, and new exhaust system, radio and wiper motors were rebuilt, auxilliary electric fuel pump, and deep cycle gel cell Optima battery. All new gray and blue Worsted English wool upholstery with gray show and go carpets were installed. The seller is happy to pass along his restoration records to the new owner. The car came with 2 under hood lights which were restored but never installed, they will be included in the sale.

Since restoration the car has covered just 10,000 miles, has received a CCCA Senior badge, and has never left the owners by the side of the road. The car has completed a CCCA Caravan without incident and received best of class awards at major concours. The car feautures Dual Side Mounts, Philco Radio, Startex Starting System, correct heater, twin Trippe lights, and trunk rack.

This car presents nearly as well as the day the restoration was completed. This is arguably of of the finest Super 8 Touring Sedans around. 1937 is a bell weather year with all the advancements of the independant front suspension and hydraulic brakes Packard introduced that year while still retaining the Classic and Graceful fender lines of the earlier cars.
