Sparing you the History of the Packard Motor Company which is well covered on other pages on this site, I will cut to the chase on this special car. This car was sold new in Rochester NY (see original Data Tag) and was subsequently owned by a Mrs Truman Fuller of Bethelem, PA in the 60's, who sold the car to Mr Grady Wilson of Atlanta, who passed the car onto Mr Donald Wheeler of Claremont, CA in 1978. Mr Wheeler had the car restored and entered it in the Pebble Beach Concours in 1980 where it won it's class.

The car also has won CCCA First Place Awards as follows: First Primary- 1981 First Senior- 1997 (98.25 points), and First Premier- 1999 (99.25 Points). Mr and Mrs Wheeler drove this car on many CCCA CARavans traveling over 15,000 miles during their ownership. The car also was featured in the Packards International Magazine in the early 80's as the cover car.

The car starts runs and drives without hesitation. It idles almost silently, runs smoothly, shifts and stops well. All components are in operational condition, and the car has no known faults. The car was driven 275 Miles last summer on a local regional CARavan without incident.

Here is a turn key car one can tour without hesitation. It is a high quality restoration that has held up well and is still quite showworthy. As a salesman I have to mention that the '37 Packard 12 is a highly desirable car that has all the mechanical goodies of the later Packard 12's- like hydraulic brakes, synchronized gearbox, and independent front suspension, while still having the flowing fender lines of the earlier cars. And of course the Club Sedan is the most desirable sedan there is, but of course you already knew this, too.
