The Packard Caribbean was a halo vehicle produced by Packard from 1953 through 1956. Some of the Caribbean's styling was derived from the Pan American Packard show car of the previous year. Produced only as a convertible from 1953 to 1955, the Caribbean added a hardtop in 1956. Introduced as part of the Cavalier model range, the 1953 Caribbean was perhaps Packard’s most easily identified car because of its full cutout rear wheel housing and side trim, limited to a chrome band outline that stretched the entire length of the car. The band also helped to further delineate the car's wheel openings. A steel continental spare tire was also standard. The hood featured a broad, low hood scoop. Bodies for the Caribbean were modified by Mitchell-Bentley of Iona, Michigan. ,Interiors of the Caribbean were richly upholstered in leather. Caribbeans were also generously optioned.
At total of 750 Caribbeans were built for the model year, and these cars are highly sought after as collectible cars in the current collectible automobile market.

This stunning example has been completely restored and has traveled very few miles since.   Finished in Sahara Sand with matching 2 toned interior, one of the most desriable and attractive color combinations, this car screams the 50's! The Paint, Brightwork and Upholstery are all in as new condition. The car starts right up, runs smoothly and drives without fault, everything is in working order. This car is several trophies waiting to happen. Here is a car you can immediately press into service. It is ready for the show circuit, or can be taken on tour with confidence this Summer .

This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most rapidly rising collector cars of the 50's affordably. These cars are now trading in the six figure range regularly, which makes sense given the extreme rarity and superior build quality of these cars compared to their contemporary competitors- the Skylark, Eldorado, or Fiesta.
