The E65/E66/E67/E68 model was the basis for the latest BMW 7-Series. It replaced the BMW E38 for the 2002 model year. The car was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001, and was launched in Europe on November 17, 2001. It first appeared in the USA and other markets in the spring of 2002. E65 was the designation of the short wheel base version of the automobile, E66 of the long wheel base version, E67 of the bullet proof version and E68 of the hydrogen version.
The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user contro, so customers rushed to purchase its predecessor, the E38, before it was discontinued. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2006 facelift.

This is simply an amazing car.  It is light years ahead of anything else offered by any other manufacturer and provides unsurpassed luxury and comfort.  Having traveled only 76,000 miles from new this car is as new, everything works as it should and it sports a new set of Continentals and the upgraded 19" factory wheels. We have had the car to the local BMW dealer and it checked out perfectly, while there, they performed some regular maintenance, the car is fully serviced and ready to go for many more miles. This car has been my demo for the last several months and is quite frankly one of the best cars I have ever driven. The car is fully loaded with Convenience Package (Auto opening/closing Trunk and soft Closing doors), Luxury Seating Package, Premium Sound System, Navigation and the Wood Trim package, adaptive headlight control, Park Distance Control, and Heated Steering Wheel. The original window sticker and all manuals and keys are with the car. With an original sticker price of over $80,000. this car is an incredible deal, at less than half that (offered below Blue Book).
