1936 Lincoln K Sedan
This Rare Model K 5 Passenger Sedan is fresh out of long term dry storage in Southern California. It has been off the road for many years. I acquired the car a few years back and it arrived with some curious issues- the top was basically gone and the interior had had a fire between the front seats which also scorched the drivers door card. Upon disassembly of the interior we found the remnants of a large box of safety matches that had evidently caused that. The paint buffed out quite well-its actually in excellent condition-and the brightwork did as well-which really surprised me- Lincolns were really quality automobiles! For some reason there were numerous dents all along the top of the car where someone had used the body for leverage when doing whatever they were doing to the top. I had my dent guy remove most of those but he couldn't get a good lever point on the rear of the top so that still needs accomplished. I have sourced all the missing bits for this car including a full set of hubcaps, horn button, all badges and a nice original Mascot. I believe the car to be complete
The motor is free on this car but I have not reconditioned the gas tank or even tried to see if the radiator will hold water. The brakes still work on the car,.
This is a rare opportunity to own a nice original Full Classic Lincoln with the legendary K v12. This is a very rare car and will make a wonderful CARavan car. The combination of the powerful V12 on the shortest wheelbase a gives this car performance that will rival most of its contemporaries. The Body is in excellent condition with no wood rot whatsoever. Notice the intricate inlaid woodwork in the interior. This demonstrates the high quality Lincoln provided in these K's. It is rumored that Lincoln lost money on every one they made and that Edsel Ford never kept separate books for this division so his father wouldnt pull the plug.
