1933 Buick Model 50 Convertible Coupe Recent Rest. High Speed Gears Tour Ready
This Nicely Restored example was purchased by a good client of ours who is an avid tourer a few years back. He immediately set about making the car the best it could be-not only cosmetically by adding a new Top, full Leather interior, and new custom made floor mats, but also making a it a great cross country tour car.
The engine was rebuilt with high compression pistons and new valve guides, a Spin-on Oil Filter was added and High Speed 3.7 Ratio Gears were added for higher speed travel. A 12 volt conversion was undertaken with the alternator discreetly hidden inside the original Generator Housing, Turn Signals and 4 way Flashers were added Halogen and LED lighting was added throughout. The Power Assisted Brakes were overhauled and other minor suspension and mechanical work performed.
The cars was campaigned on tours in the Summer of 2022 covering 1200 miles, many times on Hot Summer days and the car performed flawlessly and ran cool never getting above 180 degrees.
I short here we have a proven tour car one can immediately press into service on events such as the Great Race or Glidden Tour without hesitation.
Finished in a striking period correct color scheme, this desirable Buick Convertible is just the ticket for someone looking not only for a lovely Pre War Roadster but also a car you can actually drive at speed cross country.
